Essex Agricultural Society 2019 Scholarship
Application Guidelines:
The Essex Agricultural Society DBA Topsfield Fair offers scholarships annually to well-rounded students. The Essex Agricultural Society will award twenty-five $1,000.00 scholarships, paid directly to your school, at the second semester of your freshman year and within 12 months of when the recipient was awarded.
A copy of your high school transcript is required, although we look at all of the activities and volunteer performances of the individual in order to base the decision of award.

Charles E. Larner Family Foundation 2019 Scholarship Award
Application Guidelines:
The Larner Foundation exists to promote Agriculture through Scholarships, Education using Sustainable Farming Practices, promoting the Family Farm, and offering special help to Children when and where we can.
We will primarily do this by offering Scholarship awards for High School Seniors from Essex County pursuing Agriculture as their college studies.
This year the Foundation will offer 4 Awards. The value will be $2000.00 each, paid directly to your school, at the second semester.
These awards are open to all Essex County resident high school seniors pursuing Agriculture as their area of focus in College.
This is a Non Academic Award.
You must have worked on a farm or in that field for one growing season, or have been involved in FFA or 4-H for 2 years to be eligible. You must provide us with the name of employer and job description, and one employer reference, or proof of participation in the FFA or 4-H.
A 250- word essay will be required, answering the question of the year. The question for 2019 is:
Where do you see yourself in ten years, how are you going to get there, and why?
